2017 FOODTOBER EVENTS

Foodie Networking Dinner

10/06/17

Our Third Annual Networking Dinner returns to the Natural Gourmet Institute in Chelsea. Over a 3-course meal and free-flowing wine, we'll discuss the future of food, and hear from Yale Sustainable Food Program graduates about the educational projects they're working on, and how Yale is helping shape the future of food sustainability.

The Natural Gourmet Friday Night Dinner is a New York Magazine Critic's Pick, a Time Out "Best of New York" and one of CBS New York's "Best Things to Do in NYC".  Our candle-lit private room will be filled with new friends, conversation and lots to eat! Tickets here

Every October, YALE.nyc celebrates Foodtober: A month of food-related events and activities exploring food culture, creation, politics, business, media, history and science. We share the knowledge, talents and passions of our Yale and NYC communities and facilitate social engagement that increases our knowledge, broadens our horizons, and expands our palates, while raising funds for our non-profit partners, Yale Sustainable Food Project, City Growers and Just Food. To date, we’ve donated more than $14,000.

It’s always a lot of food for thought!

Foodtober17 brought Yalies and friends together for 9 events this year, including new dinners at Delmonico’s, with Professor Paul Freedman, and Blenheim, with Yalie Min Ye ’95. We raised $1500 for our non-profit partners, Justfood.orgCityGrowers.org, and the Yale Sustainable Food Program https://sustainablefood.yale.edu/. Special thanks to Cooper Mountain Vineyards https://www.coopermountainwine.com/ for their generous support of this year’s dinners.

If you’re a food professional, academic or aficionado and want to join our Foodtober committee, please email foodtober@yale.nyc.
